Tequila and Lime Jalapeno Cranberry Sauce

 In Chuckwagon

A quick and easy homemade cranberry sauce made with fresh cranberries with some jalapeno heat and a hit of lime and tequila.

Servings: makes 2 cups

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients

4 cups (1 12 ounce bag) cranberries
1 cup water or orange juice
1 cup sugar
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 tablespoons tequila
Directions

Boil cranberries, water, sugar and jalapeno. Reduce the heat, then simmer about 10-15 minutes until it starts to thicken. Mix in the lime juice and tequila and remove from heat. Or, if you’d like a little more tequila flavor (and don’t mind a bit of alcohol content) remove from the heat first, allow to cool slightly, then add the tequila and lime juice. Enjoy!
